Our Soul
There are objects that, over time, become a part of who you are.
For me, it's the cap. I suffer from hypersensitivity to light. I wear it every day — it protects me. But over the years, it became far more than an accessory. It's part of my identity.
Except I could never find what I was looking for: a well-cut cap, in good materials, with a logo that means something. So I decided to create it.
— Vibhu Das, VIBHU founder
Vibhu Das — The Sovereign Servant
My first name, Vibhu, is a Sanskrit word. It means “the Sovereign” — the one who governs themselves. Who moves forward without getting lost in the eyes of others.
Das means “the Servant”. The one who stays humble. Who knows that true strength has no need to prove itself.
Two words. One philosophy. Mine.
The Lion Mindset
Launching VIBHU wasn't easy. There were doubts, nights without answers, steps that seemed impossible. But giving up simply wasn't an option.
That's the lion mindset. Not brute force. Just consistency. Always moving forward.
A Symbol Engraved in Every Embroidery
At the heart of the logo, between the lion's eyes, a dot. In the Hindu tradition, it's the Ajna Chakra — the third eye. A reminder to stay focused on what's essential, never to get lost in what doesn't matter.
Every embroidery is done by hand. Not to look pretty — because craftsmanship is a form of respect. For those who wear the cap. For those who make it.
Materials Chosen with Conviction
VIBHU was born in Annecy, France. I chose to work only with organic hemp and organic cotton — traceable, breathable materials that don't compromise the planet in the name of style.
“To wear VIBHU is to choose to belong to yourself.”
“It's not a cap. It's a decision.”
